Your Tongue and Your Destiny.
What is destiny? What is the relationship between your mouth and your destiny? Is what you say of any consequence? Does your utterance play any role with respect to fulfilling your destiny?Destiny has been defined severally and in different ways but I personally prefer to define destiny as the plan of God for ones life. It must be understood that the sum total of the decisions that we make culminate in what we eventually call our destiny(ies) however, this doesn’t mean that God did not have a set plan or goal or purpose for our individual and cooperate lives. We must consider that despite the fact that God has preplanned programs for our lives, he still however gave us free will, guaranteeing that we can choose which way we want to go. Note that when you follow the program of God for your life you end up in that place of destiny that is the envy of every man, the glorious place of enviable greatness.
Is what you say or utter of any consequence?
The scriptures are very clear about this so, let’s start from the very beginning. I mean the very beginning, before the creation of man and we shall see the relevance of our utterances on the destiny of man (individually and corporately).
Genesis 1. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, and the earth was without form and was void and darkness was on the surface of the earth and the Spirit of God moved (incubated, brooded) on the surface of the waters and God said, “Let there be light and there was light”. Similar activities to this go on until verse……….
“God said”, God by his spoken word (universe) released into the physical his dream and desires when he spoke creation into being. All that God said, God saw, all that God spoke came to be.
Scripture tells us that God after creating everything decided to create something in his image and likeness, so he took of the dust of the earth and formed man.
However, the image that was created from the dust of the earth had no life in it. God the took this image which he had formed and fashioned with his hands from the dust of the earth and breathe into its nostrils releasing (or pouring) his Spirit into it and the image (man) became a living being having the Spirit of God on the inside of it and the blessing / first commandment of God upon it. The first commandment God gave man was “be fruitful and multiply and have dominion…..”
From thence, God handed over the ruler-ship of the earthly kingdom that he had formed to his express image and representative in the person of the first man Adam.
Adam therefore was in the class of God, he was sharing divinity with God.
Recall that all that God said, God saw. Now, that same Spirit of God that brought about creation was dwelling with man (God always fellow-shipped with man in the cool of the day) and in man (God breathe into man’s nostrils pouring his Spirit into man).
It was imperative therefore, that whatever man said, he must see. So, God organized a quality control test for the man. He brought all the animals that he had created before man (Adam) that he might name them. Adam did not fail in this task and so, whatever name Adam called the animals that was their name thereof.
God said and God saw, Adam said and Adam saw (Hallelujah!!!). Your utterances definitely do matter.
Does your utterance play any role with respect to fulfilling your destiny?
Your destiny talks about the perfect plans and purpose for your life. It refers to the main reason for which you were born, your main purpose here on earth.
It takes a saying, a declaring, a speaking of the words of God concerning the things that he has planned for your life so that there a motivation built up within you to run with the program of God.
(Speaking, saying, telling, declaring)
